EPA Finalizes Revisions to Methylene Chloride Regulations

Summary: EPA is finalizing revisions to the Methylene Chloride regulations to address the unreasonable risk of injury to health that EPA identified in its 2020 Risk Evaluation for Methylene Chloride. Specifically, EPA is prohibiting manufacture, processing, and distribution of methylene chloride for all consumer use; prohibiting most industrial use; requiring a workplace chemical protection program; and requiring recordkeeping and notification for manufacturing, processing, and distribution that are not otherwise prohibited.
